Professor Tang Ching Wan

HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) Bank of East Asia Professor (2013-Present). 

Professor Tang is the first Chinese recipient of the highly reputable Wolf Prize in Chemistry (awarded in 2011). The Wolf Prize in chemistry is often considered the most prestigious award after Nobel Prize. He was also awarded the Kyoto Prize (Advanced Technology) by Inamori Foundation in 2019 for his invention of OLED and the related applications.


Ng Chun Ting, Elton

Elton reached the summit of the highest mountain of the world, Mt Everst (8848m) in 2017. In 2018, he became the youngest and the second person in Hong Kong to reach all summits of the highest mountains in all seven continents. Elton was selected as Ten Outstanding Young Person Hong in the same year. In 2019, he was the recipient of the ‘Outstanding Alumni Award’ of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.


Louis Yan

In 2010, he became the winner in both the US Abbott Magic Competition and Hungary’s 6th Joker Magic International Stage Magic Competition. Louis is also one of the few selected magicians in the world to be honored with a “Best Stage Performer” Merlin Award in the same year. 

In 2013, Louis successfully broke the World Guinness World Record for “The Fastest Time of Escape with Straitjacket and Chains Underwater”. Louis was selected as Ten Outstanding Young Person Hong in 2019.


Dr. Lo Man Kin

Dr. Lo Man Kin received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong and is now a private practitioner.

During the epidemic, Dr. Lo actively participated in anti-epidemic work. He was awarded certificates of appreciation from various authorities, such as the Chief Secretary for Administration in 2020, and the Secretary for the Civil Service and the Secretary for Food and Health in 2022. In the same year, his dedication was recognized with a letter of appreciation from the Director of the Hospital Authority and a certificate of appreciation from the President of the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians.
